Good prebuilt for cost?

Is PC a good pre-built for cost? I'm a complete newbie and have no idea where to start, so would it safer to go with a prebuilt? Mainly, could it run Lord of the Rings Online, Everquest 2 and Conan on high graphics? Hope-and-a-dream, could it run Crysis on low settings?

short answer no

the 8400GS is weak, you don't know what kind of crap motherboard and ram you're getting, or power supply for that matter... and I'm personally not too fond of AMD cpus for the time being

The American folks here will give you a better idea of what beast you could built yourself within that price range (there are some other sites like Fry's that apparently have crazier prices)


edit: it indicates you're getting a ASUS M2A-VM Mainboard, which is a mATX board, which generally suck anyway, RAM seems to be generic, and no mention of a power supply, probably the POS that came with that case

My price range would be $400-700, probably around $600 if starting over. Around the same for upgrades. I have an older PC that could be upgraded, which vernong has seen. Do you believe outright building a new pc (possibly reusing the tower and monitor?) would be a better option than upgrading the one I have now?
