AhBeng you need to check the status of your account via the Safe Mode Admin account. Make sure that your permission didnt get changed.

ok. but then how do i know if my permission didnt get changed?
where do i check ?

Under User Accounts in the Control Panel.

If they didnt you have to run gredit.msc from the Run Command and see if hte Group Policies have been edited.

nope i cant. ive try tapping & hold F8. still cant get into safe mode.

Sory that was a mis-spelling. I have seen a spyware/virus that has changed teh Group Policy. But that can only be done on XP Pro.

Have you run all the checks from teh Virus section here and Osiris's guide?

when i try to run this on the run command it says windows cannot find "gpedit.msc".

Right after the POST screen goes away start mashing F8 then choose Safe Mode.
