i want to get a new crt monitor, not a lcd. I was contemplating between a 17in and a 19in. with 19in though i am told my games will run bad, even if i put the resoluton on the game back to 800*600 will my games run bad.
i have a 9200se runs ut2K4 at about 35fps average at 800*600 but if i had a new 19in monitor and ran ut2k4 on 800*600 would it still run ok.

whom ever told you that should be smacked.

The monitor is just a delivery divise. Having the Resolution turned down low will help in your game performance to a point, but that really shouldnt be that low. A new monitor with a quick responce time will look ok at 800x600, but better at 1024x768. The higher the resolution the tigher the image. Tigher meaning better looking, less pixelation.
That is just the way it is...
