I keep getting the an error(provided in last link) every time I boot up. It had something to do with d/l one one the following files

After installing Windows XP Service Pack 2 (SP2), the Veritas/Sonic Direct Letter Access (DLA) software from here

HP]HP Customer Care local language selection  Customer Care local language selection

or Sonic Drive Letter Access (DLA) Software from here

http://h18007.www1.hp.com/support/fi...oad/22226.html

or IBM DLA (FREE) from here

What can I do to prevent this error from happening? OS is XP Pro. I appreciate any positive help.

The error msgs are hard to read but one says internal error with the following "error code 0001.000000002" and the other says "please wait while setup loads".

Well let me ask this. Why do you need the Sonic Drive Letter Access software? If that is causing the issues why not uninstall it and be done with it.

Mak, I needed it for a bkp program to cd-r I use to bkp data with. I uninstalled it anyways but I am still getting the error. Can I try something else Mak? Would system restore work? Last good point was from this morning.

Yes a system restore to a previous point should work. If you have one from before the applicaitons were installed.

As for the issue do you not have the media or anything else that you have previously used to do this with? If anything maybe a older version would work.
