the 780i is expensive, and the 750i is better then the 6xxi series.

the q6700 doesn't make much sense at the moment for the price jump over the q6600

doesn't really matter for the ram

it would be either the 8800gts or 9800gtx sli'd, if you're thinking about sli.

7200.11 is faster.

Yep, right now the 750i evga FTW board is the best budget SLI board on the market. I might actually pick one up myself and sell my 680.

after price drops, i would still go with a q6600, just cause it's gonna be cheaper, and they should be able to oc to same levels. or abouts there.

The difference between the 780i and 750i, is mainly features. Such as the 780i, having more ports, and three PCIe slots for Tri-SLI. In terms of overclocking, they should overclock similarly, but the 780i has more tweaking options. Like more voltage tweaks.

only reason to go q6700 is its higher multi. 2gb of ram is plenty if your gaming

he did some research and this is what he got stuck with:
Motherboard: NVIDIA nForce 750i SLI or 780i SLI
Memory: 2GB (2x1GB) or 4GB (2x2GB)
GPUs: 9600GT SLI or 8800GTS SLI or 8800GT SLI
Processor: Q6700 or Q9450

He wants to score very good in benchmarking. I will be overclocking everything and pushing it to the limit. He is gonna buy the components after the price drop of the quad.

Don't expect much Overclocking headroom from a q9450, especially with its low as heck multiplier, either get the q6600 or the q6700 after the price drop

go with 9600gt SLI, because it has 90% scaling, or just get one 8800gts or something, and use the eVGA step up program to get a 9900gtx later on (which is supposed to beat the 9800gx2)
