Fresh XP install problems

The install stops because setup can't find a file. I swap CD's and it finds it, continues, then stops again. Swap CD's, it keeps going. Stops again. Is this a bad CD drive or bad CD's?

Have you checked for scratches on the CDs? A bad drive shouldn't give you a files missing error. Generally it just stops and freezes the install. I'm going with bad disks on this one.

They burned or official copies?

Both burned. One is pretty new nLite burn and the other is fairly old. Looks like it's a RAM issue though. Memtest returned some errors. That'll teach me to run all tests before installing.

Usually when I have RAM errors during an install it will just BSOD and not say files are missing. Maybe it's both lol that sucks

Could be I guess. Anyway I got it going. I will make some new CD's tomorrow.
