Free Firewalls ?

Is the windows xp firewall adequate for the home user on ADSL BROADBAND ?
Some one told me as long as you have a strong password on the router and your isp thats about all you need for the average home user. I have been using COMODO V2 FOR YEARS WITH NO PROBS. Tried the newer versions but they are very intrusive. Someone here on Tech is an expert on this and apparently has written a large post about the subject. I can't find it. Maybe some one can link it to me ? Thanks , Brunoboy.

If you are behind your own NAT router you are probably fine unless somebody really wants into your system.

Go for Comodo firewall its freeware and the best one too.

Can try Sygate. It isnt as intrusive as others.

But with a good router you should be fine.

I like Sygate personally too, but I don't think it works on Vista , and its not naggy unlike Comodo

but Comodo is a good firewall nonetheless

Thanks all for the input, links etc. Have found the setup program for the older Comodo 2.4.18 . The new one is just too intrusive i find . With the older version once it has got your ok for each program it pretty much leaves you be.
