problem with that is you can't SLI on an X38 chipset. You'll need an nVidia 680/780i for SLI.
Not all games can take advantage of SLI, in some cases the single GPU would probably beat it. Not all cases. IMO SLI is only good for 24-30" monitors with games that can even use SLI, and 3dmark06 addicts.
I vote 1st choise. grab 2GB of crucial and xp, or 4gb and vista. a corsair 520hx or similar psu from the PSU thread sticky. a tuniq tower or true for aftermarket cooling and youre set
that 100$+ savings could buy your psu. and the gtx would do anything you want it to.
