ATI Radeon 512mb X1650 pro
or
256MB Radeonâ„¢ ATI HD 2600 XT

and if the X1650 pro is better, is it also better then this one?

ATI Radeon HD3870 512MB GDDR4

Thx :)

ok thx

so would it be a way better choice to spend an extra 70$ to get the 256MB Radeonâ„¢ ATI HD 2600 XT cuz im getting a new computer that will come with it and rite now i have the X1650 pro so would it be way better to spend an extra 70$ to get the 256MB Radeonâ„¢ ATI HD 2600 XT? cuz i wann aplay crysis and be able to run it smoothly.

THX :)

Ultras and GTXs can barely run crysis maxed out. Much less any of the cards you spoke of.

Course I know you won't want spend the money, but if you want high resolutions, max settings and nice FPS your looking at GX2's and HD X2's

If you want like max settings and 1440X900 res and 30-40 FPS your looking at least a 8800 GTS G92.

a 3870 non X2 may be able to do medium-high res and medium settings smoothly..

Course that depends on your definition of smooth...

but the 256MB Radeonâ„¢ ATI HD 2600 XT can run it on medium or high tho without any problems rite? or would the 512mb X1650 pro be able to run it better?

im also getting a comp with quad core 2.6ghz and 3gb of ram so it should be ok rite?

No.. All the cards you speak of will struggle.

You want crysis to look nice and play smooth? You need 8800 GTS G92. Minimum.
You want Crysis uber maxed out on max resolution and play smooth, GTX or Ultra Minimum, GX2 or HD X2 Perfered.

my Slightly overclocked GTX struggles at times.

My brother has a HD 2600xt 512mb and it will run Crysis on all medium settings dx9 at 1280x800 with about 37fps. The HD 2600xt 256mb will probably perform a little worse than the 512mb version and The x1650 pro will be worse still.

I recommend going with at least a 9600gt or 8800gs however a 8800gts 512 would be a lot better.

My 8600GT must just be special then. Crysis high settings, no hiccups to speak of. If price is a major concern, check out the 8600GT's that are overclocked from the manufacturer. Of course for just a tad bit more, the 9600GT's that came out recently are pretty darn slick and I'm sure can churn through Crysis with no problem.
