Hey guys I'm new to the forums. Im building my first PC. The computer is going to be mostly for video editing, computer graphic design and my own personal use (internet, games, ect...)
What is a good motherboard to use? I was planing on going with a Intel P4 2.8 GHz CPU with HT Technology.

Any advice on building this computer would be greatly appreciated

Thanks

~Jay

^^^^^^ I like that case. Now im undecided of what case to purchase.

Another question. What is a good size PSU to use. I was thinking a 400W would be plenty. any opinions on this?

For a nice psu i would go for a thermaltake ultrapower 550w psu and it will go well with your case and give you plenty of power. A 400w psu should be fine, but its alright to go higher. Another thing to remember when buying a psu is a quality 400w is always better in the end than a cheap 550+ .

Thanks for the advice.

I ended up buying this case:

Thermaltake VA3000 Dream Tower Tsunami (silver) with Side Window

And this PSU:

Thermaltake W0011+PFC Silent Purepower 480W with 2-Fans
http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProductDesc.asp?description=17-153-010&depa=0

I was looking at the 420W thermaltake but ended up just going with a little bit bigger with the 480W

I plan on purchasing my mobo and processor next week sometime.

for me.. although casing will bring a good look for your CPU but i'll prefer to upgrade other things such as graphic cards, ram or etc.
just my opinions.. :)
