As you can see, I'm upgrading a pc. The PC in question is an old Dell XPS Pentium 4 Extreme PC that my friend has. He has decided to reformat (to fix the OS) and upgrade to something reasonable for the occasional game. The current system i'm looking at is as follows:
-Pentium D e2180
-2GB Crucial Ballistix RAM or Geil equivalent
-Existing case, psu, dvd drives, hard drives etc.
-I'm giving him my old 8600GT (replacing with 8800GTS (G92))
-Not sure on which mobo to buy
Budget is about €300 or $450. Of course, I will be overclocking the system and need a suitable motherboard, maybe the GA-P35-DS3R, I like that one ($120 region), so I might just sell the old pc as a whole and build one from scratch.
What do you think
Also, is there a better mobo than the P35-DS3R in the $160 price range
