Anti-Spam

I can see the reason why Mc Affee sends me the update of the anti-virus definitions every day but why do they need to send me updates of the anti-spam software every day? Wouldn't the anti-virus updates be sufficient?

Anti Spam is a Email filter. Not a virus filter. Anti Spam stops you from getting solicitation emails from people and stupid stuff for Viagra and other such junk mail. You want it updated daily to stop those emails from getting thru. If not then just disable it.
