I don't see why anyone would buy the 9800gtx...

You can get 2 8800gts's for a little more and get a much bigger increase in performance.

2 8800gt's is gonna cost about $100 more, then you have to have a game that takes advantage of sli....yada yada yada......its a good upgrade if you are coming from a card like mine, a x1900xtx

First off I was talking about the 8800gts.

And as you can see there it would be 400 after rebate for two. Those in SLI would smoke the pants off the 9800gtx. Which in all reality is just an oc'd version of the gts...

And yes, I know he lives in canada so newegg deals aren't good for him. My point is, a single gts would have performed almost as good and would have saved him something like 125-150 bucks...

Yes, I meant two GTS is like $100 more.....looks like $75 more instead.

But If you don't need sli or don't want the trouble that comes with it sometimes,and want the power of just a one card solution, the price of this card is not bad, especially if you want to run at some higher resolutions.

It looks like the 9800GTX is gonna be a decent card for the price.

Uses less power, runs cooler, gets up there with the Ultra in some games at 1680X1050...and should overclock really well.

yes i do love my x38, i wouldnt buy msi, and the 9800gtx is faster then an 8800gts. ontop of that ive spent a litle and only have 390$. and i allready orderd my 9800gtx. also itl be alot easier to sell a 9800gtx then it would an 8800gts, when gt200 and 4*** comes out.

either way the site im ordering on i can only save 30/40$ if i where to get an 8800gts from a lower end company, i want xfx or evga, and they both have the 8800gts at the same price as there 9800gtx, the gtx in some cases is cheaper.
