Well, the DVD drive worked. Right now I am formatting my C: drive which will eventually lead to Windows installation. I've got to say I feel pretty dumb that I didn't try this. It's strange that my normal drive wasn't reading the disk, hope that won't be a problem in the future. I hope all goes well with the installation.
