Cold Cathode Tubes question

just got dual 12in cathode tubes (UV purple) and I was just wondering if it is bad to have them linked to 3 different fans on a power cable from the psu? It is fully illuminated, but isnt that bright. What if I link the 3 fans to the cable going to the HDD and DVD drive, then have a free cable going only to the lights? also, can u buy longer cables for the tubes? they are rly short, there is no where to put them lol. thanks!

it might be a good idea to put the lights on a diff power cable then the fans...prob won't make a diff though. Yes you can buy molex extenders.
