want to start overclocking

Right now I am running OCCT and the clock will drop to 2.2ghz then go back up to 3.3 while the cpu is at 100% load. I have both C1E and EIST disabled. Is there something else that needs to be disabled? Also when the clock drops, the temps also drop a few degrees too.

If your certain you disabled both, I have no idea?

What are you using to moniter speed?

Try CPUZ and coretemp at the same time.

I use OCCT(the stress program I am using), HWMonitor and CPUZ and it does the same thing. Now coretemp seems to stay at 3.3.

I don't understand this, if I stay at idle and don't stress it, it will stay at 3.3ghz.

are you using bios to oc or easytune?

Off topic, but is there something wrong with this forum? When I go to quick links and click on edit sig or anything under quick links, it doesn't do anything. Is any else having this problem?
