Hello, i'm back. More than a year ago I was planning on building a computer. I'm back and finally ready to buy and build it soon. I listed the parts I was going to get below.

If I missed something or you have a better suggestion, please let me know. I do have a few questions though. A year ago, SLI was was back and forth. Has it become worth it since then or is it still a hit and miss? I've also noticed PCIE 2.0 x16, is this better that PCIE x16? If so, is it worth it? I was planning on a RADI0 setup, is this still a good way to go? (with a 3rd drive for backup) Is 2GB ram still good for all gaming or has it gone up to 4GB?

The case you've chosen isn't very good for airflow, maybe try for a Lian-Li.

Well, 2gb is sufficient, but having 4gb never really hurt anyone.
...Is your OS going to be the XP x64?

SLI is the way to go, but at the moment, you don't need it.
For instance, your GTX will run games great =]

PCIE 2.0 isn't worth it, not for a single card anyway. If you do choose SLI like you said, then sure 2.0 I assume would then show some greater performance.
I found an post on another forum about a month ago, I'll find it and link it.

About the RAID 0, I don't know too much about it; but why wouldn't it be the way to go? :D

Oh, this too

I just ordered a Gigabyte 570 myself, Im excited

I would suggest the 7200.11 series of the Barracudas

why are you paying $270 for XP?

8800gts g92 outperform this a lot and is cheaper ;)

Corsair 520hx is the same thing as this except the extra 100watts come for powering a lot of HD's and you don't need that power of the 520hx

PC Power and Cooling 610 is cheaper than the Corsair 520hx on Newegg though

check the quote for my suggestions

wheres your mobo?

also PCI-e 2.0 and PCI-e x16 are pretty much the same thing, no Card can use up the whole x16 let alone the 2.0

Not sure what the heck your talking about...

lol I was just about to say... wait till aspire gets here haha, you love those aurora cases

it does seem to have pretty nice air flow, its aluminum so it takes out the heat fast, it has a front vent, a large side vent, and 240mm at the back

I wouldn't really recommend the 8800GTX.. what's the point? Just get the 8800GT like everyone else, and spend the extra money on some more RAM or something.
