If I can find a q6600 around $200 Id definitely get it. I was thinking of getting the antec 900 or coolermaster 690 and the seagate 500gb hdd and the dvd burner

I want to spend around $200 on this since I am on abudget. I can spend $300 but id rather use the other $100 for my video card or cpu.

then wait a little while, the q6600 will be around 210 or so soon. and the antec 900 is good for everything but watercooling and wire management. so if you really like your cleanness, or want to watercool in the future, then go ahead. and the 690 is great too. and as long as that hdd is 32mb 7200.11, go on, get it and nice stuff you gonna get.

Right now I have $300 and in May I am getting some b day money so i can finally finish building my computer. I can either save my money or buy some parts... I was thinking of buying the e8200 and the seagate 500gb hdd... There are other options but i wanna know what you guys think. I don't want to buy something today that is going to cost less in May like the Graphics Card.

same here. I had the case, HD, psu and mobo which was dumb to buy first but luckily it was good and didn't need to rma or anything.

Do you guys know any current deals with these cases? i don't plan to watercool...

Is it worth it for the HDD? Instead of 320gb 7200.10 to 500gb 7200.11?

Since the HDD is $110 I am looking to spend around $90 on the case... l would like to get the Antec 900 but I don't think anyone is selling it for $90

EDIT: I found the case I want at the price I want

My budget w/o i bought is $650-$700
Is the seagate HDD cheaper at any other site? It's 110 at the egg with free shipping

the 7200.11 500 gb has a 32mb cache while the 7200.10's have 16mb cache, this is a considerable difference in speed.

Heres what i plan to buy today:

Antec 900-$80
Seagate 7200.11 500gb 32mb HDD-$110
and maybe the ASUS dvd burner. ( should I buy the OEM or Retail?)-$32 OEM or $37 retail

Then in May I plan on getting:

q6600-$200
8800 GT or 8800 GTS G92 (Depends on price)-$200
Abit IP35-e-$90
Xigmatek cooler-$37
Artic Cooling MX-2-$7

I already have Crucial Ballistix 2gb and Corsair 520HX


How does that sound?
That's going to run me around $600-$700 right?

I just put a price next to everything. Some of it is what it's going to cost (q6600) the video card is what i want to spend ($200) and the rest is what It costs right now...

EDIT: I just did the math and it's going to run me around $760 which is out of my budget... Do you guys know on which stuff I could spend less or I should spend less so I can meet my budget?

come on it $60 more then your budget right? well you could get a 9600gt...although the 8800gt will most likly be less then 200 buy the time you buy it. You could also get a cheaper case, but i would stick with what you have (you can switch to the 9600gt if needed though).

Well I was planning on spending $600-$700 MAX.
I was thinking of maybe a cheaper HDD but the one I picked is one the best for the price. Should I get the OEM or Retail DVD burner?

Any other ideas? I don't think I can go any lower with the mobo...

get the oem, that just means it will come in a plain box without manules and posibly with out the cable (sata2).
