doesnt need it for gaming...just burning and editing stuff

so im guess a mobo with intg gfx will be good.

It's doable. The G3x chipsets, are like the P35s, only with integrated graphics.

If you can, look for the G33M-DS2R. From what I read, it's a pretty good overclocking motherboard on the cheap.

well i was thinking ds3l, but it doesnt have graphics...

So far from my searching...its no where to be found in the u.s
i think ill stick with that g31 u suggested.

he bought the g skill ram. ANd hes gonna get the ds3l and an 8400gs...

i suggested those. I like the ds3l a lot and hes with paying a little extra.

Hes my IT manager and hes been living of a P3, 900mhz and like 7XX ram...hes gonna be so happy with this new rig!

why dont you get a better mobo for the same price without integrated and just buy a cheapo card? you can find an open box 8 series for ~25 or an even older card for ~15

the p35-ds3l is a great mobo.
And hes getting the msi 8400gs for 35 and its brand new.

Hes never going to game so i think thats good enough for him and his uses.

He can always go the amd route with a phenom and one of those new mobos with the good onboard video.
