Nice. Supposedly the new GTX will be a voltmodded GTS512 that comes stock at 2200mem and 675core....bodes well for overclocking if a voltmodded GTS can hit that high.

900mhz core , 2.3ghz shader, 2.2ghz mem

That was on 1.49v though and my stock cooler was pretty much at its limits. For some reason after 1.38-1.4v the G92 chip starts chucking out tons of heat. The heat and power usage seems to increase exponentially

well I sold the gts....i just got a 3870 though to crossfire with my 3850.

Just did this run @ 1680x1050 16xAF + 4xAA to see how it would do....

HD3870 + HD3850 512mb CrossfireX ....stock speeds
E6300 @ 3.2
2gb @ 920mhz
XP x64

Dunno why my CPU score is so low.....normally it's over 500pts higher. I just ran this on a fresh install of XP so I'm still downloading the service packs and stuff, maybe they have optimizations I dunno. I'll figure it out.

well I sold the gts....i just got a 3870 though to crossfire with my 3850.

Just did this run @ 1680x1050 16xAF + 4xAA to see how it would do....

Did you see the settings he used?

@ 1680x1050 16xAF + 4xAA

Hehe yeah ricanflow ....set the resolution to 1680x1050, the AA to 4x and the AF to 16x in the 3dmark console....then see what kind of score you get...

thats probably around what he'd get in a future 3dmark version though

also don't the HD3850 (because you v'modded it) perform exactly like a HD3870? or is the hd3850 still a bottleneck

the 3850's are a bit slower.
Whether it bottlenecks the 3870 depends on the mode of crossfire
if they use Alternate Frame Rendering, it's not going to bottleneck.

I know how the perform, but I meant after the Volt Mod does it show exact performance?

3850 is GDDR3
3870 is GDDR4
