Why is this:
Acer Aspire AS7720-6604

Cheaper, and rated lower than this:
ASUS G Series G1S-B1

which seems to have a benefit of only a .30GHz CPU speed?

The Acer has a 17 in. screen, Asus has 15.
Acer has 3 GB of RAM, Asus has 2.
Acer has 320 GB HD, Asus has 200.
Acer has 512 MB Video Card, Asus has 256.
Acer has Vista Ultimate, Asus has Home Premium.

Acer has better specs, at a cheaper price. You shouldn't even bother with the Asus after seeing the Acer.

Asus tends to be more expensive than Acer because of their higher quality and better support. Higher quality glossy lcd, too. Acer and Sony are probably the best two you can get. Acer's been undercutting everybody lately, though, and this is no exception.
