Are Samsung hard drives good?

Samsung F1 ftmfw.....I will have that drive one day....but it looks like I've just burdened my credit card with a nice E6750, don't know the stepping but the guy had it stable 3.7ghz @ 1.405v so it seems decent to me

Sorry, but after my last job and replacing at lesat 200 maxtor drives over a 3 year span...no..never.

They are much better now... No reason not to buy them.
People should keep backups of thier data reguardless of what harddrive they have.

and man i want some RAID 32mb 250gig. (i dont need so much space for my boot drive for goodness sakes. I mean why cant they make smaller ones with 32mb cache..)

oh really.. I thought people compared these 7200.11 to being as fast as a raptor for a reason..

The fastest 7200rpm drive out is the Samsung F1 1TB drive....but 7200.11 is pretty quick as well and not very far behind...but neither one is as fast as a raptor for loading levels and such.

A raptor is still a waste though. I'd rather have a single Samsung F1 drive or 2 WD 320mb drives in RAID 0

Well I bought it... I really need to stop spending money on my computer now...

Do you guys think I would notice a performance difference if I made the new drive my OS drive? Right now I have a seagate 7200.10 16mb cache 320gb as my main.
