Having touble with Surround sound

Hi, I recently bought a Genius Audio 5.1 Channel PCI acceleration card also known as Sound Value 5.1

I installed all revelant drivers and application put all 3 cables in the correct slots and no work...

green - front
yellow - rear
black - woofer and center..

i think .. but anyway im pretty sure i set that up right but not surround sound only.. front..


Please help.. cheers

(note i have no experience playing around with pc audio) but, maybe your playing an audio file such as .mp3? mp3 does not support surround sound, so u inturn cannot listen to it as if it were... u can prolly just change some options in your audio config to allow u to use all speakers with non-surroundsound formats.

No, even in the surround sound demonstration it dont allow me.

wat media player do u use to play the demonstration? u may just need to change the players output filter.

when you add new hardware make sure u make it surround sound. also make sure that you download the latest drivers for your speakers.
