Windows missing awlsd22u.sys

i am trying to install windows from a backup cd and it tells me that awlsd22u.sys is missing. I have the original cd so i can install windows but the backup cd has intels ICH9 Sata Drivers slipstreamed into it which i will need when my new computer arrives in a few days.

I was testing the new backup before i use it later

Well from a Google search i can not find any info on that file. So you might be better off taking your Windows CD and making a slipstream install with the SATA Drivers.

I did that but i used nLink...somewhere along the way that file mustve been deleted

I dont understand what the problem is...I really need a slipstreamed copy(I dont want to buy a FDD) I cant even find any documentation on this file on the net anywhere. I also looked on the original install cd and that file doesnt exsist there either...this is weird.


*edit* I just retried this and now it is telling me a different file is missing...So far this isn't my day.

I would try AutoStreamer. It seems that the method used by nlite is corrupt.

This isnt working so i am going to bite the bullet and use my Vista Disc i got from a trade show
