how much is the 3870x2 in the us, in canada it's $400+, even with the price cut its would never be even close to 200.

I think you should go with the 8800gts g92 ... because of the resolution you play at.

I was stuck in the same boat as you...debating between a gts and a gt, and i got the gts and im very satisfied. The price has dropped a lot for the gts since i got it so i think its totally worth it.
Unless you wanna do sli with the 9600gt cos the pny one is going for $125 after rebates....

I sold it for $450. A GTS is just as fast, you and merk proved that in the benchmarks.

I'm on a Maximus Formula now, so i can CrossFire too, thats why I was thinking 3870 for now, then another later on.

no it hasn't got a price cut yet but it could possibly in a few weeks. When i said even with the price cut i meant that.

3870's in xfire would be nice...Does xfire help you game at higher resolutions like SLI does?

well gts has served me well in every game ive played so far...
if you wann wait for the price drop you cud for the 3870

the evga gts is on sale right now at newegg so those wud be ure 2 best choices...

I just ordered a HIS 3870. It's the best card for the money right now. I've not been doing alot of gaming lately. So it will hold me over till I get my new job and I can order something better.
