You know how we all have to login to Vista when you first boot up? Every once in awhile when I enter my password, it would stop midway into it. I would have to keep repositioning the cursor again into the password text box and retype my password all over again, and again, and again until finally I'm able to type the whole password in to finish loading Windows. How annoying is that? Any of you guys have similar incident?

No, I do not want to take off password protect.....in case some of you recommend that route. Too much porn to hide.

This is a first i have ever heard of anythign like this. It sounds as if it is still loading drivers or something n the background while you are typing.

USB Keyboard???? I have only had this issue when resuming from standby or hibernate when using a USB keyboard, or on a laptop....

What about putting the pron file in system32

or maybe put restrictions on to who can open the file.

It may take some time to get to the pron, but hey, you can keep up for that long can't you? :p

It only occurs on my laptop, so the keyboard is integrated no matter what. It's strange because I don't have a whole lot installed on the laptop. Just the basic programs. Or maybe it's some spyware running in the background somewhere. It's hard to avoid them and as long as you're constantly downloading programs off of websites, you're bound to get them.

Yea, my laptop does the exact same thing, but here is the hitch, the keyboard that is in it, is possibly a USB keyboard and your laptop is enabling every usb port. :p

It's really strange because it only happens when I type in my real password. I tried typing random characters and it goes through, but when I input my real password in there, it hangs and won't let me finish typing. Very strange. Seems like someone was controlling my PC or something. But how could they when I'm not even logged in and we have a closed network? Meaning that we don't allow print and file sharing and there's no remote software on my PC at all. I'm just going to reformat this laptop. Too bad too because I've had it running for about 6 months already.
