Ya, the q6600 will be somewhat of a bottleneck, but then again, once nehalem comes out i'll get an instant video upgrade just by removing the bottleneck at the processor

Did you ever think the day would come when your bottlenecked by a quad core?

Keep in mind that i play on a 24" monitor @1920x1200 so the cpu is less of a bottleneck than someone playing on a 19".

lol im on 2 19's im doing it for future proofing for one, and 3d 06 marcks lol. i also may beb uyign a big 24 inch monitor this summer.

You can dual monitor with crossfire but not with sli.... IDK but until now i haven't thought of WHY can xfire do it but sli cant?

Because when sli is enabled each gpu render half the screen. Quad sli its a fourth of the screen.

With crossfire its alternating pixels.

I've been trying to find information on the setup for 30,000 3dmark. I read it was evga with dual 8800 ultras superclocked using liquid nitrogen.
What were the cards clocked to? and why dont triple sli 8800ultras get anywhere close to that?

It was quad 3870s with a quad core at 5.7ghz on phase.

Nah i stepped up a GTS320 to a GT. I bought these off newegg back in december.
