Need help choosing a cpu...

I'm stuck between getting a e4300 or a e6420.

Which one should i get?

I can get a deal for the e4300 for 85$...

I'm mainly stalling for when cheaper e8x00s come out. Would this (e4300) be much of an increase in performance vs my old x2 3600+ ?

Should be a good increase in performance, and they overclock really well. I suggest you go for the E4300 deal you mentioned, since you're going to be upgrading again, soon.

What motherboard are you planning?

im running a ASUS P5E .
I was actually going for a lapped e8400 for 205$ shipped.

that same night, someone got into my paypal and took 1500$ that i dont have :X

thankfully the situation so far is in my favor, disputing wise.

oh crap will the e4300 work on that mobo? the e 4300 has a 800fsb

Yes, the E4300 should work there. The FSB shown in the specs of that P5E, is just the latest that they support.
