So slow to Install....Vista

Vista is easy breezy beautiful cover girl simple to install

always have to go with "trimming" since we don't know a lot of other information...and the beauty of WinX, vista or xp, is that it supports so much, we have to contend with numerous variables.

might be a bios setting...

It is as easy as pie....DOH! I have two DVD/rw's in this new build and both were on master from the factory which I negelected to check before installing them. Once they were both set to cable select all was good. I got there by pulling the mobo, psu etc all out of the case and doing setup on a total visual outside of the case. That is when I noticed the idiototic mistake on my part. Vista didn't know which DVD was the primary!!!! DOh! It's runs perfectly now!

wow, all that and you didn't get master/slave correct. Well, lesson learned. Check all connections before installing Windows.

Vista takes me about 20 minutes to install on every computer I have tried (which has 1GB of ram or more), Either on a fresh HDD or over XP, formatting and copying files goes within seconds.
