Boot Up Times..

I understand that disabling everything would give me a fast boot up time, but, I dont want to do that. I mean, I dont have alot starting up, a few prgs, which I know delays the start up time but machines with lesser specs than mine seem to boot up faster with more prgs on start up..

Thanks for the link, I'll take a look at it. What does it do exactly? I'm thinking that it may be the hardware, I've had this drive for abit and looking to upgrade anyways.. Though, more suggestions are welcomed. ;)

I boot with a s939 4299+ X@, DDR RAM, and a 8MB cache SATA drive, and my boot time is like 20-25 seconds, and then about 15 seconds for my programs to finish up (Nod32, desktop clock, ObjectDock, Yahoo Widgets, WindowBlinds, and such). I seriously doubt it is your hardware.
