Ok, I'm building some software that telnets to a pop3 email server. I've never telneted to an email server before but I just have one question. It may sound stupid it really will help me with my software development.

Ok so when I'm connected and logged in, I send the command "LIST" and something like the following is returned....

1 2039
2 58301
3 93834
4 8293
5 1820
6 29202

I understand 1, 2, 3, 4... etc. but what are the numbers all about on the right? Is it the size of the email in bytes or what?

Anyone know?

I'm developing a piece of software to automatically print orders for the company I work for.
