Alright, so I have asked around a lot of questions on here and got much help, but I found a couple of new things that I wanted to ask about.

Here is the setup:

Gigabyte DS3L Mobo
Seagate 500GB Sata II 32MB Cache HD
Raidmax Smilodon Case
Q6600 OR E8400
Crucial Ballistix 2X2GB OR (2) 2X1GB
Corsair 620HX OR 520HX
Evga 8800GT OR 8800GTS G92

All of the OR's up there are the ones I am not sure about. Lets start from the top.

Q6600 Or E8400?

I will be multi-tasking, but the E8400 is faster, uses less heat and is better for games. I won't want to upgrade for atleast another 2-3 years, so I guess Q6600 right? Plus E8400 is sold out everywhere and the Q6600 is $199 at a store locally.

Crucial Ballistix 2X2GB Or (2) 2X1GB

Should I get (1) 2X1GB now and use 32-bit Vista, get 2X2GB and get 64-bit Vista, Or get (2) 2X1GB and get 64-bit Vista? I'm leaning towards 2X2GB as it only takes 2 slots, which means you can upgrade later, but it is $40 more. Is it faster in anyway?

Corsair 620HX Or 520HX

I was leaning towards the 620HX, but it has a $169.99 price tag and that's a little steep. There is a $25 MIR though. Or should I get the 520HX which is $129 or so. I was thinking of getting 620HX as I might upgrade later, and I wouldn't want to upgrade the PSU while I'm at it. Would it be worth it or would the 520 be strong enough? I also found the 520HX for $75 shipped new, so I am kind of leaning towards that. Yes or no?

EVGA 8800GT or 8800GTS G92

What GPU should I get? Right now I have a POS 64mb DX7 Card and wouldn't really mind graphics if they weren't top notch, but is there really a big, noticeable difference between these 2 cards? The 8800GT is $190 after MIR and the 8800GTS G92 is $240 after MIR. Is it worth the extra $50? Please let me know!

Those are all my questions, if you could please answer them in the same order as listed, that would be awesome. Thanks a lot Tech-Forum Members!

Go with a q6600 it wil last u longer, get some 2x1gb set of crucial balistix unless u can get 2x2 balistix, and make sure u get vista 64bit. Finaly i recomend using the 8800gts. for yoru psu just grab a corsair 520hx or this one, Newegg.com - SILVERSTONE SST-ST60F ATX 12V 2.01 & EPS 12V 600W Power Supply 115 - 240V - Retail 72 amps silver stone quality, and modular, ive been trying to push for ste to put it in the honorable mention section of the power suply guide, if you check it out the last post made was by me with a comparing chart of the 520hx to the strider 600w.the strider beats out the 520hxx in almost all aspects accept efficency but 75% is still very high.

Oh I see. But comparing it to the 520hx, I found it new for $75 shipped. It's a steal. I think I will get Q6600, 2X2GB Crucial, Vista 64-bit OS, not sure about GPU yet. Why do you suggest 8800GTS? What is the difference? Is it really noticeable? Worth $50 more? Please be specific.

Just noticed btw that this thread was posted twice, don't know how that happened, sorry.

Ahhh, I see. That makes sense. So if I had Q6600, T.R.U.E., AS5 Compound, DS3L mobo, 4GB Crucial Ram, 500GB HD, 8800GTS G92, would the 520hx would be able to handle all of that easily? Also would I be able OC all of this easily on that psu? Is there room to upgrade say the pcu or gpu and still use that 520hx, or would I need to upgrade to 620hx or something more?

no the 520hx would handle all that a member of our forum has sli 8800gts 512mb and has them over clocked aswell has his quad at 3.6ghz.

agreed

you and me discovered the difference between the 620 and 520hx, only get a 620hx if you need a billion drives (optical and hard)

and if you're ordering from Newegg the PC Power and Cooling 610 Silencer is cheaper than the Corsair 520hx

Ok, so the 360<512<640 right? I know the 512 is better than the 320mb, and I assume the 640mb is better than the 512. I will be buying the Overclocked 8800GTS G92 from Evga for $229 (Same price as the normal G92 and cheaper than the normal NON G92 8800GTS). I will also buy the processor locally and the psu from ebay which is under $80 shipped for a brand new Corsair 520HX. Thanks a lot for the help...

Now...how do you build a computer? LOL
