resolution has nothing to do with the need for AA. It's about pixel density and how far you sit from the screen.

doesnt resolution = pixle density? measuring a small section of a screen for example, would have less pixles per inch at 1360x768 then it would at 1920x1080.

1360x768 = 1044480 pixles vs 1920x1080=2073600 pixles. fitting 2073600 pixles on a 30" ( 69120 pixles per inch) would be more dense then fitting 1044480pixles (3492 pixles per inch) on the same tv. Or are you refering to something else?

resolution does play a big role on the need for AA... if you have a 15 inch laptop screen.. that does 1920x1200... thats alot of pixels per inch.. no way you'd need any form of AA on it

Ah right, different screen sizes would affect density of the pixles. I wonder then how some bigger tv's can manage to have a better picture quality then smaller screens at the same resolution. What other factors determin the picture quality?

Yeah, the need for AA is determined by pixel density...and that is determined by both resolution and screen size. Not 1 or the other, which is what many people seem to think.
