I hardly notice any difference in overall system performance in running W2K on a FAT32 partition versus NTFS. Both ran very stable and there weren't any usual number of lock ups in either format.

Madking, just because your PC is not connected to the internet does NOT mean youre safe from viruses. Removeable media like a floppy disk can also be infected with viruses and depending on the virus, if you were insert that disk into your PC, your PC could become infected that way as well.

The method that Inaris suggested will completely erase that file from Windows. It completely by-passes the Recycle Bin and you will not be able to recover the deleted file.
