Official Intel Overclocking thread

Alright i've reached the highest overclock possible with the setup I have, at least as high as I can get it to be completely stable. Tried a few successful suicide boots at 3.8GHz with ungodly voltage but wasn't stable by any means.

Power supply: PC P&C 610W Silencer
MotherBoard: EVGA 680i LT SLI
RAM: Wintec AMPX 2GB (2x1GB) DDR2 800
Timings: 6-6-6-18
RAM to FSB: Unlinked (FSB @ 1560.0 MHz / RAM @ 780 MHz)
Final RAM Voltage: 1.9 Volts

What's with your timings dude? You could tighten to those down to 4-4-4-12.

What car is that on your wallpaper and is it yours?

My timings don't like to be tightened. I had them at 5-5-5-15 and everything seemed fine, but I would get random crashes in games. Few and far in between but it would happen only when I tightened them. I don't notice a difference anyway. 4-4-4-12 doesn't post, this ram just can't do it. Or at least at the max voltage its rated for, it can't (1.9v).

And yes that's my '97 VR4.

Oh Em Geezor, my shipment from Newegg just came and so I'll be posting my overclocking results here!

I'm using a custom watercooling loop so cooling should be more then decent and the DFI board only helps things xD

I'm still learning what all the things in the Bios does (jesus, there are so many options on the Genie Bios for the DFI boards...) but I've already gotten to 3 ghz on my E2200 which isn't impressive, but still its something decent

had to get my balistix back before posting results. sorry for taking so long.
