or do sli 8800gts perform better than the gtx?

if sli'd 9600gt's perform better, gts's deff do. considering teh gts is better than the 9600 gt

i think 2 9600gt's would be about 10% faster then a 8800gtx and 2 8800gts would be about the same.

Edit: 2 8800gts (512) would prob be a bit more.

K, wasn't sure, i know the 8800gts>9600gt but i know the 9600gt is more efficient is SLI so was wondering how the two compare....trying to decide if i should upgrade to a single gts or sli 9600s

See, i've gotten mixed reviews about that....some say to go with the gts others to sli the 9600, just not so sure about doing SLI, but would like to try it.

man a oced 9600gt is only a little slower the a 512 8800gts, with2 at 90% efficiency in sli thats the way to go.

yeah, just reading through the reviews and that seems to be what i'm reading...i can pick up two xfx 9600gt for exactly the same price as the 8800gts. lol, DECISIONS!

The advantage the 8800gts has is better cooling. but for the price/performance, 9600gt sli owns. Its truly the first sli setup ive seen that really performs hard for the money and doesnt break the bank. If i had an sli mobo id sell my 8800gt 256 and pick up two of them.

umm.... 9600gt does not have tri sli capabilities... again, only the 8800gtx, ultra, and the upcoming 9800gtx and 9800gt
