Deactivate Windows ?

So I'll be transferring all my data and reinstalling Vista Ultimate x64 to my new HDD when it arrives tomorrow. How do I go about transferring the activation to the new HDD? Must I call Microsoft to have them provide a new Activation Key ?

Yes you will have to call Microsoft. But heed a warning. If you tell them you are taking it from your current rig and placing it on your new rig they wont do it. Tell them your hard drive crashed.
