So get a cheaper Core 2 duo instead of the quad and then grab an 8800gts. I guarantee you'll see a bigger performance boost there.

quads aren't really being used by most games right now so it would be wiser to get a core 2 duo since you're on a budget and you want to get the best performance for your money

get the corsair 520 instead and some other mobo like a p35 unless you want sli

no way, thats more expensive than the PCp&P on Newegg

avoid that 650i Chipset, get a Abit IP35-E, see if you can get an 8800gs with the money you saved from not getting the 650i

well i was getting the 650 becuase it had duel videocard slots and thats what i want lol so im probley going to stick with 650 unless theres a 90$ mobo with duel video card slot

SLI = not worth it, its only upto 40% performance gain

its only worth it if you play super high resolutions, where it would be useful

dual slot video cards don't need 2 pci express slots... they'll take up one, and just cover up the other one.. and he had a 24'' Widescreen monitor where it would be useful
