Better To Do For You Computer??leave On Or Shut Off?

this is probally the simplest question you guys will ever hear.i own an emachines computer nothing special at all.i shut my computer off everynight before i go to sleep.i do have a cable modem and connection.my question is,is it better to shut the computer down everynight and start it up the next morning.or is it better to leave it on all night and just let it sit???i know this question is simple but im not very computer technical and would just like to know thanxxx

If you're just letting it sit there overnight, doing nothing and eating electricity, I think it would be best to turn off at night.

I shut it off whenever I don't use it. Of course, turning it off and on wears it down, but the amount of time loss is so small that by the time it does break down, it should time to get a new one and it would be cheaper to turn it off.

It's also usually a bad idea to turn off your respiritory system, while you're you know, living and all.
