Last known good configuration....!!

Hi Guys...
My name itself says who I am.... nways I was wondering if some1 could tell me... where exactly is the information of last know good configuration is stored (the filename) and wht entries are actually stored in the file.....

First, we need to know yer OS.

Second, when you run system-restore, you should see (or have a button to) a list of previous restore points.

Thirdly, depending on your OS, the files are stored in your system directory.

Lastly, why do you want to know what's in them?

The last known good configuration only applies to hardware configuration settings or driver changes.

Read this MSKB article to understand when and when NOT to use last known good control set.

Where that control set is saved on your PC depends on your OS.
