2 towers... 1 everything else

ok i'm moving in with my girlfriend who has a small apartment.. she wants to use her pc.. i want to use mine.. but i dont want to set up 2 whole systems.. i just want to hook 2 towers up to 1 of everything else..so heres the deal.. i know i can use my monitor for both hooking my pc to the dvi and her's to the vga and switching back and forth with the source button.. what i need to know is there a way i can hook the same keyboard/mouse and possible speakers to both of them and be able to control which one it works with at a given time?

A simple KVM switch (or similar kind of switch) will suffice for your keyboard and mouse needs although not sure how you will do it with the speakers.

LCD monitors and a mutual desk. No way my wife and I could share the same setup, even with separate towers. We tend to be on our computers at the same time quite often.
