First day with using Vista and already got some problems with it.

Firstoff some computer specs.

MSI P35 Neo Motherboard
Creative Labs SB Audigy soundcard
Sentry Stereo Dynamic Headphones 880CD
A Mic seperate from the headset, no name.
Plugs on the side and back of the computer for mic/headphones, I'v tried them all.

I think it's a problem with vista or maybe the motherboard, I'v googled the problem and haven't been able to find a clear answer to this but plenty of others seem to have it.

What should I do to get the mic and headphones working?

I'v already tried updating the drivers, but it says there are no updates for the soundcard and motherboard, what else can I do?

Am going into uncharted waters here, once I go into the BIOS during startup, what exactly will I be doing?

First time am going into the BIO, any advice appreciated.

There should be a utility to make a bootable disk to flash the bios. Check manufacture web site like already stated.

Couple questions first, what will I be trying to do by flashing the BIOS, what should I be looking for or change in the BIOS, and do you have any suggestions for somebody that has never done it before?
