Help my system has become very unstable! I have been getting the following errors and have to re-start my computer.
VFAT(01) + 0000A696 error 0E : 28: C004A0F6

0E:0028:C2B44CC9

0E 0028:C0012D2C in VxD called from 0028:Co23F58B in VxD

Any Suggestion?

I have already uninstalled my Display Drivers and reinstalled them as well as updated Directx

Windows ME is notorious for crash problems and instability. Your best bet is to either upgrade to XP/2000 or downgrade to 98SE. Heck, anything will be better than ME.

Yeah bro, I had Windows ME it was a living hell, I trashed it and I got Xp pro. Trust me you will want an upgrade or the downgrade, which everone you can afford.

Yes. Windows ME is a problem of its own. These errors can be fixed, but wont go away unless you use a more stable O/S (Win 2k) Windows XP is good, but i don't like the Fisher Price look.

But ME is the worse. Get far away from it.

yeah ME was probably the worst 32 bit operating system ever designed. That is, in front of 95.

I used 95 for an embarrasing long while...all the way until I got my first XP machine in 2003. I personally think it sucked as an operating system, but I'd prefer it anyday to ME.
