Hi all, on my Windows Vista, i was using it and it was working fine, locked my computer, went to bed, woke up to find that my PS/2 keyboard and mouse had stopped working, so i rebooted, same problem, now i cant login or do anything, i tryed another PS/2 keyboard and same problem.. Whats more weird is that when i boot Windows XP which i am using now on the same computer (becasue i have a dual boot system) The mouse and keyboard work!! WTF is going on!!? I need it to work again

Can you boot in via Safe Mode (F8)...this may load the correct drivers for your peripherals as it sounds like they've gone in Vista.

How did you lock the computer? Bugg is right. It sounds as if the drivers got corrupted. Which there will be no way to fix unless you have a restore point.

Well if you have the Windows Vista DVD you can try to use a restore point to a earlier date. That is mostly done with the mouse.

Understandable. I come across these problems all the time. I run a triple boot system and 1 of my OS's is always down.

Have you tried to use a restore point?
