Should I buy a 8800GTS or 9600GT

Not sure what to get the 8800GTS or 9600GT or should I just wait for the 9800 to come out? I am not sure what that will cost for a 9800 though.
 
Single card: The 8800GTS > 8800GT > 9600GT
SLI: 9600GT > 8800GTS > 8800GT

The 9600GT works incredibly well in SLI

I'd wait till the 9800GX2 comes out, I was considering another GTS myself, but the 9800GX2 might be a possibility, if the SLI component is as efficient as it is with the 9600GT..
 
what, dude no, I thought you were referring the 8800GTS G92... BIG difference! the 320/640MB versions of the 8800GTS use the G80 architecture, the 512MB version uses the G92 which is superior
 
Really. Maybe I should go with the one you stated then. If there is a huge difference with the architecture.
 
well, wait until the 9800GX2 and GTX come out, or at least wait a little over a week when the NDA is lifted for some legit reviews to see how they perform (I know that many samples of the 9800GX2 have been floating around, but no reviews have been done on them yet)

So when do you think the 9800GX2 will be out. Someone told me maybe in March.
