I'm getting different readings from temp monitors. Coretemp reads around 27c at idle, but bios reads 42c at idle! These temps are with and without overclock. Bios used to also say around 27c but now it doesn't. I'm thinking the bios is probably right since it usually is and I've been having trouble with the heatsink.

However I'm wondering what are normal temps for a e2180 and why does coretemp differ from the bios?

Also anyone know of any good cheap heatsinks I could get incase I need to get a new one? (my current one isn't completly tight on one mount)

at 3.0ghz my bios is telling me 28-29 and in windows coretemp says 20-21... so coretemp... i think is wrong.. lol

on the subject of flashing bios.. i too need to do that to my 680i

Ok, I can see that everyones bios temp is lower than mine, so I might need a new cooler. But does anyone know why theres such a difference between bios and coretemp?
And my bios has a warning sound when my temps get to high, would that sound if I'm in Windows or only bios?
