Hello guys, I am currently running an AMD Athlon XP 2500 with 384 MB of 2100 DDR RAM. I am using a Giga-Byte GA-7N400V-L mobo and it supports Dual Channel DDR. I am on a tight budget right now and i want to upgrade my memory. Should I get more 2100 DDR ram(512 stick of 2100) or buy one 512 stick of 3200? My board has 4 dimm slots, and I currently have 3x128mb of the 2100. DOes having 896 MB 2100 beat having 512 3200? Thank you.

it depends for gaming 2100 is already pretty fast and u generally want as much ram as u can get so i dunno but i think id stick with 2100

So your CPU is the AMD Athlon XP 2500 + *333FSB* Barton (1.83GHz) + AMD Heat Sink Fan?

If so I would say get one stick of 512MB PC3200 and overclock your CPU to 2.2GHz :) (depending on current CPU temperature.)

Or if you don't want to OC you can just get DDR333, which will run assymetrical with the FSB and provide optimum performance at stock settings;) :p

get another stick of 128MB (same speed n same brand) ram to make it run two dual channel.
