Hey guys.

My problem is...

I installed Adobe Dreamweaver CS3 a few weeks ago, and then I had a computer problem so I had to do a System Restore to a time when I didn't have Dreamweaver CS3 installed.

Now... Dreamweaver CS3 shows up in my Add/Remove Programs list, but I cannot remove it. Nor can I reinstall it, because it gives me an error saying that I already have it installed and that I should run the original uninstaller.

Now, my question is... Can I delete Dreamweaver CS3 safely from the Registry and then reinstall? Will this work? If not, what are the alternatives?

Thanks a lot guys.

Yes you can delete the registry keys. Not sure if it will allow you to reinstall, but it's worth a shot. Make a backup of the registry first just to be safe. When you go for the reinstall there may be a repair option, or an uninstall.

Dave is right. Make sure to make a backup of the registry first. But if you did a system restore would it not restore your Registry as well?
