I need to upgrade my graphics card
i already have a Geforce FX5200 but i want something better
these r my specs:
PCI motherboard
300watts
1gb ram
Intel P.4 prossesor 2.8ghz

any cost would also be nice

Go for an 8800gt if you can afford it. The Ati 3870 is also a solid piece of hardware. If you want something cheaper and if you dont mind not having DX10, an ATI x1950 Pro is about 150 dollars? last time i checked and it is decent also. If you get any of the above cards, your gonna need to step up your power supply to 500 watts.

look on Ebay for a 6600GT or a 7600GT, you MIGHT need to upgrade your PSU if you get one of those, depends on your 12V amps.

you can prolly pick up either of those for ~$50

Thanks for listing your specs, Peza.

Since you only have PCI, you are rather limited. On the ATI side you can go up to a X1300 or a X1550 ($120 and $95, respectively), and on the Nvidia side you can go up to a 6200 ($90+). None of these list wattages, though.

I only looked at Newegg.

Trotter's list pretty much sums it up. I doubt any of those would need more than your 300w of power. These are as good as pci video cards get.

Are you sure you don't have AGP?

is there a model number to the pc? Is it a prebuild? or is there a model number for the mobo, if its a homebuild?... just asking to make sure what type of interface the board has, instead of having a standard pci slot, and getting a pci-x16 card and just looking at it because it wont fit.

or if you can snag a pic of the board?
