powering up problem

ok every so often when i hit the power button, everything lights up and comes on for 3 seconds then powers down. I push the power button again and nothing happens.I have to unplug the power cord for 5 seconds and then try again.Usually it will come back on but sometimes it takes me 3-4 tries. Anyone know why?

Yes i know ECS sucks, but aside from this problem i've never had any other trouble with ECS

Sounds like to me your PSU is on it's last legs. Either replace it with a model that has sufficient wattage for your system or take your current system into a PC shop in your area and have them test it.

I agree with Lone wolf. Or it could be your Power cord. That actually happened to me once a long time ago. Before you replace the PSU try a different cord.

i'll try the cord...cause this is a new PSU and my old one did the same thing but MORE often. Now i just gotta find my cords
